Itinerary

DAY: – 1 .. /SOCOTRA (FLIGHT)  – DELISHA – HADIBOO

Fly to Socotra, and upon arrival at Socotra Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Hadiboo for check-in and lunch. Afterward, head to Delisha Beach to swim and relax on the golden sands before returning to Hadiboo for an overnight stay.

DAY: – 2 HADIBOO – DAXIM – FERMAHEN – DE’ERHOR

Departure from Hadiboo at 08:00 AM to the Daxim area, where you can enjoy the sight of dragon's blood trees and take some pictures. Afterward, we’ll drive towards Fermahen, home to the largest dragon's blood tree forest, with over two million trees. Continue your journey to reach the freshwater pools at Wadi De'erhor, where we’ll take a rest and enjoy swimming in the cool, fresh waters before setting up camp for the night.

DAY: – 3 DE’ERHOR –NUJED - DEGUB CAVE - AMAK

After breakfast, we’ll travel south to explore Nujed and Defsha Mountain before reaching Amak Beach, one of the island’s hidden gems where turquoise waters meet golden sands. Here, we’ll also visit Degub Cave, a fascinating natural chamber that offers cool shelter and stunning views over the coastline. We’ll set up camp for the night to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

DAY: – 4 AMAK - HAYF  – DEFARHO – HADIBOO

Wake up early to set out on a full-day adventure across the natural wonders of Socotra’s south. From Amak, we journey to the Great Sand Dunes of Hayf and Zahek, towering dunes that rise dramatically from the desert, their soft sands shifting with the wind. This is one of Socotra’s most surreal landscapes, perfect for photography and simply soaking in the grandeur of nature.

In the afternoon, we continue to Defarho, a rugged inland area that showcases the island’s diverse terrain. After exploration and relaxation, we’ll drive back to Hadiboo, where we’ll spend the night.

DAY: – 5 HIDIBOO – QARYA LAGOON – HOMHIL – AREHER

In the morning at 08:00 AM, we’ll depart from Hadiboo to visit Qarya Lagoon, the largest lagoon on the island, often home to flamingos. From there, we’ll drive to Homhil Protected Area, the land of frankincense, and explore the Frankincense Forest, an ancient forest of Arabic gum trees. Next, we’ll visit the Homhil Viewpoint, where you can overlook the eastern coast amidst the iconic dragon's blood trees.

We’ll then continue on to Wadi Areher, where freshwater springs from the caves. Here, you’ll have the chance to swim in the Areher River, a natural freshwater bath right by the sea. After a day of exploration, we’ll set up camp for the night.

DAY: – 6 AREHER- HOQ CAVE – DIHAMRI – HADIBOO

Departure from Areher towards Hoq Cave. We’ll stop at the base of the mountain and begin a 2-hour uphill hike to reach Hoq Cave, one of Socotra’s most fascinating natural wonders. Spend about an hour exploring the cave, marveling at its ancient stalactites and mystical atmosphere.

After hiking back down, we’ll visit the Dihamri Marine Protected Area for a relaxed swim before heading back to Hadiboo. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

DAY: – 7 HADIBOO – QALANSIYAH – (DETWAH LAGOON & SHU’AB BAY) – HADIBOO

Morning departure to Qalansiyah, the island’s second-largest town, and onwards to Detwah Lagoon, a protected paradise known for its crystal-clear waters. In the afternoon, we take a boat trip to Shu’ab Bay, gliding past mangroves and spotting marine life. Enjoy snorkeling in pristine waters, then return to Detwah for a stunning sunset before driving back to Hadiboo for an overnight stay.

DAY: – 8 SOCOTRA /FLIGHT BACK HOME

Morning transfer to Socotra Airport for your return flight.

We recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. If you’re visiting Socotra, don’t forget swimwear for the beaches and a camera to capture the unique landscapes.

Unfortunately, Sanaa is still not opened and not safe for tourists to visit.

USD in  cash is the most widely accepted. It's also worth noting that Yemen is a cash-based society, and it's always adviced to have some cash on hand.  There are no ATMs and credit cards are not accepted in most of the country.

It’s important to have a trevel insurance specifically tailored for Yemen. This ensures you are covered for any country-specific risks and requirements. Many countries, including Yemen, may require proof of travel insurance for entry. It’s always advisable to have travel insurance to comply with international travel requirements.
