Embark on an extraordinary 8-day journey that combines the historic treasures of Hadhramaut with the breathtaking landscapes of Socotra. Starting in Seiyun, you’ll explore royal palaces, bustling traditional markets, and the legendary mud-brick skyscrapers of Shibam, often called the “Manhattan of the Desert.” Along the way, you’ll visit Tarim, a spiritual center famed for its mosques and scholarly heritage.

Your adventure continues through the striking desert scenery of Al-Hajarin and Saif, before reaching the cliff-perched marvel of Haid Al-Jazeel, overlooking the dramatic Wadi Doan. From there, journey to the coastal city of Al-Mukalla, where whitewashed buildings meet turquoise seas.

The second part of your journey takes you to Socotra Island, a UNESCO-recognized natural wonder. From lush valleys like Ayhaft to pristine beaches such as Delisha, and from the magical lagoon of Qarya to the surreal landscapes of Homhil and Areher, every stop reveals a unique side of this island paradise. You’ll explore crystal-clear waters at Dihamri, visit charming fishing villages like Qalaniah, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Hadiboo.

Itinerary

DAY 1 –…./ SEIYUN - TARIM – SHIBAM- SEIYUN

Arrive early morning (around 06:30) at Seiyun Airport, where you’ll be welcomed by our team. From there we drive straight to Tarim, one of the most important centers of Islamic learning in Yemen. Here, we’ll explore the Al Muhdar Mosque, known for its striking mud-brick minaret, and the Al-Qaf Palace, a fine example of architecture in Hadrmout, after enjoying our tour in Tarim we will return to Sieyun visiting AlKatheri Palace, the city’s most iconic landmark a massive white mud-brick palace that once housed the Kathiri sultans. today it serves as the Seiyun Museum, showcasing artifacts, manuscripts, and treasures from Hadramawt.

By midday, we return to the hotel for check-in and lunch, after a short rest to escape the midday heat. At around 3:00 pm, we set out for Shibam, famously called the “Manhattan of the Desert” thanks to its centuries-old mud skyscrapers. We’ll spend a couple of hours wandering its alleys, then climb to the nearby mountainside for a spectacular sunset view over the town. Evening return to hotel.

DAY 2 – SEIYUN - WADI DOAN (AL HAJARAIN, SAIF, REHAB & HAID AL JAZEEL)

After breakfast, we leave Seiyun at 8:00 am and head west, turning south into the heart of Wadi Doan — one of Hadramawt’s most scenic valleys. This lush, fertile wadi is framed by towering plateaus and dotted with unique villages. Along the way we’ll stop at picturesque towns such as Al Hajarain, Sif, and Rehab — perfect places to fill your camera roll. +

By late afternoon we arrive at the magical Haid Al Jazeel, a hotel perched dramatically on a plateau overlooking the valley. Overnight stay here with panoramic views that seem almost otherworldly.

DAY 3 – EXPLORING WADI DOAN ( KHARAIBAH - HAID AL JAZEEL)

Today is dedicated to further exploring the hidden corners of Wadi Doan. We’ll drive to Kharaibah, small villages rich in charm and history, before returning to Haid Al Jazeel. Enjoy another night in this extraordinary cliff-top retreat.

 

 

DAY 4 – HAID AL JAZEEL- AL MUKALLA

From the Plateau to the Coast wake up to sunrise over the valley before leaving Haid Al Jazeel at around 8:00 am. Our journey takes us down from the highlands to the coast, arriving at the bustling port city of Al Mukalla. Here, we’ll visit Husn Al-Ghuazi, a small fortress that once protected the harbor, before strolling the city’s bright-white colonial streets. visiting Mukalla Museum is housed in the historic Qu’aiti Sultan Palace, a regal structure built in 1925 by Sultan Ghalib bin Awadh al‑Qu'aiti. It served as the royal residence of the Qu’aiti sultans during their rule in South Yemen The markets are full of aromas frankincense, myrrh, and local spices — a perfect chance for shopping and immersion. Overnight in Al Mukalla.

DAY 5 – MUKALLA/ FLIGHT TO SOCOTRA (AYHAFT & DELISHA)

Morning transfer to Al Mukalla airport for your flight to Socotra Island. Upon arrival, we’ll head directly to Ayhaft Protected Area, home to lush valleys and unique flora. Continue to Delisha Beach, where you can swim in the clear waters and relax on the sand. In the evening, return to Hadiboo, the island’s capital, for overnight.

Day 6 – HADIBOO- QARYA LAGOON - HOMHIL  – WADI AREHER  – DIHAMIR - HADIBOO

After breakfast, we visit Qarya Lagoon, the island’s largest, which sometimes attracts flamingos. From there, we drive to the Homhil Protected Area a land of frankincense visits Frankincense Forest – the ancient forest of Arabic gum. At the Homhil viewpoint, take in sweeping views of the eastern coast.

We continue to Wadi Areher, where fresh water flows from caves directly into the sea — a rare chance to bathe in freshwater right beside the waves. Our final stop is Dihamri Marine Protected Area, a coral reef paradise for swimming and snorkeling. Return to Hadiboo for overnight.

Day 7 – HADIBOO- DAXIM- QALANSIAH- HADIBOO

Departure from Hadiboo at 08:00 am to Daxim area enjoying the sight with dragon blood trees and making some pictures, continue west towards Qalansiyah, the island’s second largest town, to explore the breathtaking Detwah Lagoon Protected Area. Its turquoise waters and white sand are perfect for a swim. In the afternoon, we take a boat ride to Shu’ab Bay, gliding past mangroves and spotting seabirds. Swim and snorkel in crystal waters before heading back to overnight in Hadiboo.

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE FROM SOCOTRA/ FLIGHT BACK

Morning transfer to Socotra Airport for your return flight.

We recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. If you’re visiting Socotra, don’t forget swimwear for the beaches and a camera to capture the unique landscapes.

Unfortunately, Sanaa is still not opened and not safe for tourists to visit.

USD in  cash is the most widely accepted. It's also worth noting that Yemen is a cash-based society, and it's always adviced to have some cash on hand.  There are no ATMs and credit cards are not accepted in most of the country.

It’s important to have a trevel insurance specifically tailored for Yemen. This ensures you are covered for any country-specific risks and requirements.
